Colorado's Diana DeGette has proposed a Hydrofracturing amendment to a Safe Drinking Water Act bill that did not properly differentiate between oil/gas well and water well fracking.
NGWA's position paper on the topic can be found here:

As of today my wife, Kate, has received over $800 in Raffle prize donations.  Things like tickets to the Colorado Crush, the Colorado Rockies, and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.  Gift Certificates for the NGWA.  Several Carhartt products, and bunch more cool things.  I'll post a list right before the convention.

Hi, I'm still looking for more people to help collect donations of products for the Scholarship Raffle to be held at the Annual in 2009.  It doesn't take any effort, just drop off a letter and a certificate at your local businesses that you already are visiting.  You could follow up with another visit or phone call if you want.

If you would like to modify the letter please discuss it with me first, unless you just want to change the date or something.  The certificate shows that we are currently registered with the Secretary of State as a non-profit corporation.  I don't have anything official that shows that the CWWCA is a 501(c)6 non-profit corporation.

Please call or email me with a list of businesses/contacts where you have dropped off letters to help me track the progress.  You can email me at jfegel@mcleodusa.net or call me at home at 970-622-0629 or on my cell at 970-227-6195.

Here are links to the two documents:
Click here for Sample Solicitation Letter

With your help I hope to make our second raffle even more successful then last year  Grin.

Thanks,
Kate Fegel, Raffle Coordinator

Good to see this up and running.  Hopefully this will be a great resource for discussions about upcoming issues.
